The SwyxIt! Web Extensions

are a collection of different small web based programs (with AJAX or ASP.NET) which can be operated at the new SwyxIt! Web Extension Control (Web Browser Control). These programs extend SwyxIt! by some useful functions such as displaying of RSS Feeds, up-tp-date stock quotes and much more.

The SwyxIt! Web Extensions are a server based solution which does not require any installation on the client machine. The only requirement for the client is a running SwyxIt! v6.12 / NetPhone Client v6.12 (or higher).

To use the extensions the user just have change to one of the SwyxIt! Skins which is providing the wished functionality. It is also possible to combine multiple Extensions at one huge Skin (see LoonaClassicXT_Mixed_Extensions.cab).

Contact Center

This Extension allows accessing the Global Phonebook of different SwyxServers without the need to relogon SwyxIt!. In addition to that the Extension shows the Personal Phonebook the caller and redial list. When the Extension is started it provides a login screen which allows you to select the relevant SwyxServer at which you can login using your username and password defined for the SwyxIt! authentication.

Infoscreen

This extension provides the following information for incoming and outgoing calls:

The address of the called/calling partner (if fit can be resolved)
The current whether for this address
The address at Google Maps

Currently for resolution of the number the Extension uses the service provided by www.DasTelefonbuch.de hence only German phone numbers can be resolved. For calls from/to other countries the Extension offer a fall back mechanism which shows the country and the city the number belongs to. This is realized by using the service provided by www.tp2location.com. But by intention the design of the extension allows to add services for other countries quite easily.

RSS Reader

Like you can derive from the name this Extension offers a RSS Feed Reader (with some small effects and Image support). It supports all feeds which are RSS version 0.9x until 2.0 compliant. An additional support for ATOM or OPML feeds can be added if requested.

Stock Quotes

This Extension offers a stock ticker with the following additional functions:

Current stock information from Yahoo! Finance
Current stock price, percental change concerning previous day, closing price of previous day, etc.
Automatic update every 20 minutes (default from Yahoo! Finance)
Automatic currency conversion (with live exchange rate). This conversion can be configured for each stock separately.
Automatic profit and loss evaluation by configuration of the quantities and purchase price.
Comfortable stock management

SwyxIt! Mobile WebPhonebook

This extension is light-weight version of the contact center especially designed to be used with SwyxIt! Mobile, the Swyx telephony client for mobile phones. It offers a view to the SwyxWare global and personal phonebook. In addition to that it provides access to the users caller and redial list. When started it shows a login screen which prompts for the SwyxServer address at which you can login using your username and password defined for the SwyxIt! authentication.
